Senior Teacher: Glyn Connop

Name: Glyn Connop

Background: Glyn has been working with Centre Stage on and off since 2008. Along with his work at Centre Stage, he has been a long-serving member of TNT Ensemble. He trained at Rose Bruford Drama School and also did extensive training in clowning with the world-renowned Phillip Gaulier. Glyn has been touring theatre around the globe for some twenty-five years now. He began working for TNT in 2001 playing the part of Harding in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST. After this very successful show Glyn went on to play Bottom in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, Horatio in HAMLET, Friar Lawrence in ROMEO AND JULIET, Montague in FAHRENHEIT 451. He revisited the show HAMLET except this time to play the roles of Polonius and the Grave Digger and last year Glyn played the roles of Calliban and Alonzo in TNT’s production of THE TEMPEST. Outside of TNT Glyn has worked for the English Shakespeare Company, M6 Theatre Company, Pentabus, Cambridge Touring and The National Trust Theatre Company to name a few. Earlier this year he embarked on a world tour of TWELFTH NIGHT  playing the part of Sir Toby Belch. As well as Glyn’s acting he has loved his time working for Centre Stage and living in South East Asia, directing shows and performing workshops for people of all ages. Glyn is delighted to be back in Singapore with his wife Anna and little boy Albert and working with Centre Stage once again!
