Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Musical Theatre Performance from ArtsEd London
ATCL in Musical Theatre Performance from Trinity Guildhall
Background: Josh knew very early on that he wanted to dance and began his training at The Yvonne Gray School of Dance. He started his professional training at Scottish Ballet Junior and Senior Associates, and then moved on full-time Musical Theatre training at The Dance School of Scotland. Josh’s talent landed him a full scholarship for a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre Performance at ArtsEd London. After three years, he went on perform on West End and in tours for many musicals including the world-famous CATS and Evita. He has also been Head of Foundation Course at MGA Academy, Dance Lecturer at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Motherwell College, as well as a Master Class Instructor at Arts Educational School of London and London School of Musical Theatre. “My hallmark moment was after ballet school when I realised I wanted to do musical theatre to explore all three areas of performing arts (dancing, acting and singing),” says Josh. And that’s exactly what he’s doing as Head of Dance at Centre Stage. “The kids here are amazing and I would love to start a competition team for the school to showcase their talent.”
