Background Jo donned her first pair of ballet shoes at the age of two and her passion for performing started as a “Babe” in the Kings pantomime in Edinburgh at the age of eight. From there, with enthusiasm, confidence and many inspiring trips to the theatre, Jo began her professional training at Glasgow Academy of Musical Theatre Arts, graduating in 2014. Jo has performed, choreographed and developed various professional productions and events in London, Spain, Malaysia and Scotland, with her most recent being a UK tour of a Scottish comedy Musical, “Girls Night Oot”.

Jo has always had a passion for performing, production and all things creative arts and importantly, teaching new generations of performers to understand and fall in love with musical theatre and drama developing creativity, community and, of course a sense of fun. Jo worked at GAMTA as a Musical Theatre tutor for six years, teaching children from five years old all the way to the degree level at GPRO. Jo directed and choreographed large scale musical theatre productions as well as end of term reviews and musical theatre music videos. She strives for students to embrace the performing arts and develop expertise which can transfer to skills for life.
