Educational Background:

Rele is passionate about teaching Drama as a tool for building confidence, communication and community. Her vivacious and energetic nature results in a constant need to dance, sing, and create. It is no wonder she’s found her passion for children’s theatre; teaching workshops, after school drama clubs, and tuition.

Rele has appeared in Face Up Theatre’s touring theatre in education show Augustus and His Smile; as well as Thiasos Theatre company’s Greek tragedy extravaganza The Bacchae at the prestigious Oxford Gardens – of Oxford University. She is a founding member of a socio-political theatre company, Backpack Theatre, under which she co-wrote, produced and performed a 2 woman music show We Are Home which was seen at the Paris Fringe. With Backpack Theatre, Rele has helped assistant direct, devise, design and construct set as well as perform as an actor and musician.

Drama and theatre was instrumental in Rele’s life when she moved from rural South Africa to Birmingham England at the age of 13 years. It is what gave her the tools she needed to communicate confidently across cultural barriers and to find her place in an unfamiliar area. Rele hopes to share the tools she gained to empower and inspire all at Centre Stage!
