Centre Stage School of the Arts is at the forefront of performing arts education in Singapore. Established 26 years ago, we have grown to teach and inspire generations of students through our programs in drama, musical theatre, dance, and singing. Our courses are designed to foster creativity and develop professional skills in actors, singers, and dancers and in Arts related industries.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

After celebrating our 25th anniversary last year, we\u2019re thrilled to reflect on our journey and the launch of new initiatives to enhance our students\u2019 experiences. Our passionate team of over twenty talented individuals has cultivated a dynamic and supportive environment, making Centre Stage School of the Arts an exceptional place to learn and grow.<\/em><\/p>\n

We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated teachers and teaching assistants who are passionate about the Creative & Performing Arts and are about bringing out the best in every child. Those looking to be part of a team whose collective aim is to build confidence and assist in the overall development of all children throughout their life, from Babies to Adults. We look for those that are inspirational, imaginative and know their craft. Individuals who are hardworking and reliable, who possess stamina and energy and the ability to multi-task whilst working as a team in our busy centre.<\/p>\n

      1. <\/strong>RAD Ballet Dance Teacher (Part Time\/Freelance\/Full Time)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      This person needs to be passionate about dance and movement and have the ability & experience to teach other dance styles to little ones & up through the ages. We are looking for a teacher who can teach, inspire and enthuse students with the love of dance and prepare and enter our ballet students for RAD exams, working with young dancers upwards.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

      <\/u>\u00a0<\/u>The school also has thriving Musical Theatre and Drama departments so the ability to teach across departments, would be considered an advantage.<\/u><\/u><\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

      Qualifications:<\/b>
      \n<\/u><\/u>EITHER – a degree or diploma in dance\/performing arts linked with either a teaching qualification or significant teaching experience
      \nOR a degree or diploma in education and the relevant dance experience.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

      Non-Singapore Citizens – If applying from outside of Singapore – A diploma is not acceptable. A degree is required in order to get the relevant work pass to work in Singapore.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

      2. Creative Arts Assistant Teacher (Full Time)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Full Time:
      \nContract \u2013 2 years \u2013 Opportunities to renew<\/p>\n

      Overall Responsibilities:
      \nWorking alongside the Teaching team to provide support in Early Years\/Drama\/Arts and Crafts\/Classes\/ Holiday Programmes\/ Workshops\/Shows and Events.<\/p>\n

      Job Responsibilities:
      \nRole is to support the teacher to maintain a safe learning space and help create a fun and supportive environment.
      \nProvide support & encouragement within class in developing students social & emotional skills.<\/p>\n

      Practical day-to-day tasks:
      \nIn classes<\/em>
      \nSetting up of the pre-school equipment and course activities in the studios prior to the classes.
      \nCarry out routine care duties.
      \nClasses are drama or dance focused \u2013 include singing, story-telling, role play, puppetry \u2013 Involved and assist in playing out the stories, characters and bringing to life the situations in Creative dramas.
      \nAssist within classes (workshops\/parties\/ Holiday Programmes & Back Stage for shows).
      \nHelp with supervision during rehearsals.
      \nUse positive discipline techniques at all times.<\/p>\n

      Planning & Preparation:
      \nResource & Event organisation<\/em>
      \nAssist in preparing resources, arts and crafts materials and helping to implement them in the classes alongside the teachers.
      \nAssist with planning arts and crafts ready for Holiday programmes.
      \nAssist in preparing Theatre props\/scenery for shows.
      \nResponsible for the upkeep and organisation of teaching resources\/arts and craft materials.
      \nMaintain appearance\/decoration of the studios and displays and during times of festivals.<\/p>\n

      Child development:
      \nHelp in supporting development social and emotional skills.
      \nBe able to articulate the benefits of the program to the parents.
      \nMaintain and build a good relationship with children, parents and teachers.
      \nAttend staff meetings & trainings.
      \nBe willing and be prepared to undertake training and professional development activities in-house and outside of Centre Stage.<\/p>\n

      Assistant Teachers at Centre Stage
      \nOur Assistant Teachers are important to the work we do and provide an essential support system for children and young people within our arts education.<\/p>\n

      The kind of people we are looking for are good at engaging naturally with children and young people. Those that are dynamic, enthusiastic, reliable, friendly and warm, artistic, organised, possess strong communication skills and an ability to be self-motivated and committed to support all our programmes, workshops etc.<\/p>\n

      Our Assistant Teachers should fully participate and actively work together with the team, on all events and in furthering Centre Stage work and company vision and ethos, maintaining standards.<\/p>\n

      Centre Stage is committed to safeguarding and employees are required to have certificates in or attend training in this area,\u00a0 implement safe working practices, and share the same attention and commitment to child protection and safeguarding.<\/p>\n

      Employment \u2013 We also follow safe recruitment practices and rigorous checks. We require supporting references, child protection, criminal and identity checks.<\/p>\n

      Ideal but not essential:<\/p>\n

      GCE \u2018O\u2019Levels.
      \nA Certificate or Diploma in Education or equivalent, or working towards a relevant qualification.

      3. Front Office: Reception, Admissions, Admin & Customer Care Representative\/Coordinator \u2013\u00a0 Able to start immediately<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Job Overview: Centre Stage School of the Arts is looking for a person to fill an important role in our centre. This person is a key member of our team and the first person our parents meet when they walk through the door \u2013 the first impression families receive. A bright, helpful, positive, friendly person, with excellent interpersonal skills, a caring attitude and attentive customer service. Able to provide administrative support to teachers and parents. A reliable team member with a strong work ethic. A passion for the arts, and child education, is also an advantage.<\/p>\n

      Key Responsibilities:
      \nReception: Meet & Greet: Welcome students, parents & visitors to our Centre and help out with front of house duties for occasional productions, shows and events.
      \nCustomer Care: To engage with new and current families, helping them find the right course & pathway for their child. Understand all our classes\/courses to be able to confidently explain and to assist in marketing and sales to increase student enrolment.
      \nCommunication: To handle in-person inquiries & phone calls. Respond to and write emails, (good spoken and written English is important).
      \nAdministrative Tasks: Manage student registration process, attendance records, payment processing, perform basic admin and basic book keeping duties, liaising with accounts dept.
      \nScheduling: To help coordinate individual teaching sessions, schedules and appointments for teachers, staff and students.
      \nReception\/Office Areas: Provide organisation & logistics support. Help keep the reception area neat, tidy, organised, and welcoming. Work together with the team to help maintain general levels of tidiness, in the communal areas, manage and maintain orders and supplies: stationary, photocopy ink, uniforms etc.
      \nTeam Support: Provide the teaching team with administrative support.<\/p>\n
