We are please to announce our Annual Theatre Workshop Musical this year – Into The Woods<\/strong> – is scheduled to take place on Sunday 16th June 2019<\/strong> at the Gateway Theatre, Black Box with 2 performances at\u00a011am\u00a0and\u00a02.30pm\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

About the Musical:
\n<\/strong>Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perraultfairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests.\u00a0The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel”, and “Cinderella”,\u00a0<\/span>as well as several others.\u00a0The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a\u00a0<\/span>family (the original beginning of The Grimm Brothers’ “Rapunzel”), their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them,and their interaction with other storybook characters during their journey.<\/p>\n
