{"id":23010,"date":"2022-04-26T17:33:26","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T09:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/centre-stage.com\/home\/?p=23010"},"modified":"2022-05-19T08:38:21","modified_gmt":"2022-05-19T00:38:21","slug":"stage-musical-theatre-present-the-wizard-oz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/centre-stage.com\/home\/stage-musical-theatre-present-the-wizard-oz\/","title":{"rendered":"On Stage Musical Theatre Present: The Wizard of Oz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/centre-stage.com\/home\/stage-musical-theatre\/\"><strong>On Stage\u00a0Musical Theatre\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>students will be performing\u00a0<strong>Wizard of Oz<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>this year\u00a0&#8211; from the\u00a010 to 15 May and\u00a0<strong>tickets are on sale\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.centre-stage.com\/tickets\/the-wizard-of-oz-2022\">here<\/a>!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><strong>About the Show:<\/strong><br class=\"\" \/><em class=\"\">This production\u00a0is a one-hour adaptation of the much-loved story of\u00a0<strong>The Wizard of Oz<\/strong>, specially tailored for younger performers.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">It is based on\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\">The MGM film\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\" data-hj-ignore-attributes=\"\">The Wizard of Oz<\/span><span class=\"\">, based on L. Frank Baum\u2019s 1900 novel, which premiered at Grauman\u2019s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on August 15, 1939. The Royal Shakespeare Company presented a live stage adaptation of the film at the Barbican Centre in London in 1987.
