As of August 2019, our Jazz classes will follow the ATOD<\/a> (Australian Teachers of Dancing) Syllabus.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Jazz dance is fast and fun. It uses upbeat music and leaps and turns to interpret traditional and not-so-traditional movements.<\/p>\n

We offer two class forms:<\/p>\n

1) For those who wish to take exams
– The students will be entered into the level suitable for age and ability<\/em><\/p>\n

2) Jazz classes that focus on technique and aim to inspire a love of dance – designed for students who either do not want to take an external exam or are undecided but would like to try jazz as a dance form.<\/p>\n

The classes will be formed to impart the understanding to students to learn to listen tom and understand how the body works \u2013 this supports the focus on injury prevention through correct technique. The classes will be formed to start with warm up, and build through a range of techniques that will be reinforced through choreography, and finally stretching again to complete the session.<\/p>\n
