An introduction to the world of beats, rhythm and noise! Our exciting programme – UpBeat! explores the exhilarating world of group drum and percussion.
In this on-going course students explore all aspects of rhythm. This includes drumming to music, solos, body percussion, movement, alternative instruments and preparing a percussive performance, while continuing to develop skills and drum techniques. The emphasis is on enjoyment of rhythm, group collaboration and making noise!
In UpBeat! Level 3 the students have the opportunity to be involved in ‘Samabassadors’, Centre Stage’s very own percussion based performance group. ‘Sambassadors’ have performed at various public events including ‘Tanglin Trust Christmas Fair’ and ‘An Arts Affair @Wessex Estate’.
