Centre Stage is an exciting and busy School of the Arts in Singapore. We offer Drama, Musical Theatre, Singing, Dance, Acting and Creative Programmes to children of all ages.

We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and dedicated teachers and teaching assistants who are passionate about the Creative & Performing Arts and are about bringing out the best in every child. Those looking to be part of a team whose collective aim is to build confidence and assist in the overall development of all children through their life from Babies to Adults. At the moment we have several varied positions that we are looking to fill: 

Full Time Teachers Required Start July/August 2021 at Centre Stage School of the Arts 

Creative Drama and Acting Teachers Required – Start July/August 2021  – 

Enthusiastic and experienced in teaching all ages –  3-12 year olds process driven Creative Drama,  8-12 year olds Performance & Acting Skills – ages 12 + Devised process Drama ages 13 yrs + Acting.  Must be able to work within a collaborative team, Planning and Delivering classes, workshops and holiday Programmes. Able to Direct, Costume and Create Set, for Annual Productions and Class Presentations, Workshops, Events & Holiday Programmes. Must be adaptable flexible and able to multi task.  Ideal candidates would be those having trained as performers, with experience working in the industry with a degree in the same area, as well as having had experience as a teacher/workshop leader and passionate teaching young children and teens, student development and the Arts!

Dance Teacher – Full Time – Workshop/Party/Events Leader – Start July/August 2021 –

Occupation – Full time Dance & Musical Theatre Dance Teacher  – Workshop/Party/Events Leader (extra Curricular)
Dance Styles – Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, MT, Hip Hop/Street, Commercial, Lyrical Jazz
Full Time – 2 year renewable contract

This person needs to be passionate about dance and movement and have the ability & experience to teach all dance styles to little ones & up through the ages -We are looking for a Teacher who can teach, inspire and enthuse students with the love of dance and prepare and enter our students for dance exams, working with young dancers upwards. In addition it would be very valuable to us if that teacher was also someone who has experience and knowledge of entering dancers in the ATOD syllabus and older dancers for GCSE/IGCSE dance although not vital. 


  • Teaching Certificate with RAD / ATOD / CISTD / ISTD or a Bachelor Degree in Dance or Musical Theatre
  • Teaching Experience 2- 4 years +
  • Previous teaching experience with children ranging from 3 years old upwards required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with Children
  • Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
  • Demonstrate patience and leadership skills
  • Supply 2  + References/Referees
  • Supply Police Check
  • Supply any Safeguarding and First Aid certificates
  • Someone who loves working with Children
  • July/August 2021 start

Salary is dependent on age & experience & training – breadth of knowledge, experience and position held.


  • Ability – must be able to teach using a broad range of dance styles and use of methodologies –  all styles listed here (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, MT, Hip Hop/Street, Commercial, Lyrical Jazz ) from beginner to advanced level.
  • Ability to Lead students through (ATOD) Australian Teachers of Dance Syllabus.
  • Ability to Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
  • Ability to Teach Musical Theatre Creative Classes – Creative Drama/Acting/Singing/Dance
  • Ability to Communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
  • Ability to Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to Evaluate and asses student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to Choreograph and mount a yearly Dance performance/show. – All aspects – From Conception to Performance – Costume/Lights/sound etc
  • Ability to Conduct group and private lessons as required.
  • Ability to Provide a fun and creative environment.
  • Ability to Keep current and up to date with changing methodologies, personal development and training in arts disciplines and implement any changes to classes, facilitating, delivery and curriculum as needed.
  • Additional skills Desirable: Experience and knowledge of ATOD dance syllabus and GCSE Dance syllabus .
