The contemporary Dance programme will be designed specifically for each age group, incorporating two styles:
Release
This class is designed to introduce youngsters to the dance world. This is a physical class where the children are invited to learn dance technique. Release is a very different dance technique when compared to ballet but they both have the same sense of musicality & ensemble.
Contact Improvisation
A dance form originally referred to as an “art-sport” in which the point of contact with another dancer provides the starting point for a movement.
It is most frequently performed as a duet, but can be danced by more people, either with music or in silence. It’s about sharing the weight, rolling, suspending, falling, passive & active energy & awareness.
