Background: Born and raised in France, Mathilde was a shy kid who bloomed thanks to drama classes. After high school, she studied Theatre Literature at the University of Artois. The same year she was accepted into the Conservatory of Lille where she trained as an actress. There, she specialised in art forms including: Mask, Devising, Improvisation, Clowning and Directing. During her studies she had the chance to start teaching drama to kids and young adults. Enriched by those experiences she performed and directed various shows around Europe.
Mathilde moved to Singapore in 2015 to discover Asian traditional theatre forms at the Intercultural Theatre Institute. As a graduate she performed in productions such as “Leakages and Anticoagulants”, “Lysistrata”, “Our Town” and created a solo piece “Between the shoe and the woman who wore it”. At the same time, she directed and performed in successful plays for The Theatre Factory between 2016 and 2018.
Today, Mathilde wants to share her passion and inspire younger ones the same way she was inspired as a kid.
