Theatre Workshop

For students aged 12 to 18

Designed for students with a serious interest in acting, the Theatre Workshop trains young actors through skills based classes and by producing theatre. Aims are to train young actors and to develop confidence, teamwork and co-operation, promote an enjoyment of drama and theatre, and develop skills in movement and voice. The course also covers an overview of back stage: costume and prop making, set design, lighting and sound, though practical applications of lighting and sound can only be demonstrated when we are in the theatre. The classes are held on Saturday morning.

N.B. This course involves stage performances and requires a high level of commitment.

Training

2 hours of drama and acting skills
1 hour of movement, singing presentation or voice on a 3 weekly rotation.

Performance

The students have the chance to perform regularly eithr in the Centre Stage studio or in Singapore theatres.

Classes are held on Saturdays from at 9:30am to 12:45pm

An audition is required for entry onto this course.
