On Stage Musical Theatre Present: The Wizard of Oz

On Stage Musical Theatre students will be performing Wizard of Oz this year – from the 10 to 15 May and tickets are on sale here!


About the Show:
This production is a one-hour adaptation of the much-loved story of The Wizard of Oz, specially tailored for younger performers.

It is based on The MGM film The Wizard of Oz, based on L. Frank Baum’s 1900 novel, which premiered at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on August 15, 1939. The Royal Shakespeare Company presented a live stage adaptation of the film at the Barbican Centre in London in 1987. In 2011, this one-hour adaptation of the RSC version was designed in conjunction with iTheatrics.

Each group will perform twice according to the following schedule:

  • Wednesday 25 May at 18.30pm – Liisa’s Wednesday Class (Show 1)
  • Thursday 26 May at 18.30pm – Liisa’s Thursday Class (Show 1)
  • Saturday 28 May at  9.30am – Liisa’s Saturday Morning Class (Show 1)
  • Saturday 28 May at 12.00pm – Liisa’s Wednesday Class (Show 2)
  • Saturday 28 May at 14.30pm – Liisa’s Saturday Afternoon Class (Show 1)
  • Saturday 28 May at 17.00pm – Liisa’s Thursday Class (Show 2)
  • Sunday 29 May at 9.30am – Liisa’s Tuesday Class (Show 2)
  • Sunday 29 May at 12.00pm –  Liisa’s Saturday Morning Class (Show 2)
  • Sunday 29 May at 14.30pm – Liisa’s Saturday Afternoon Class (Show 2)
