Background: Vicky has a background of teaching early years in a preschool setting since 2001 – having taught at Young Men Christian Association, Learning Vision and Cherie Hearts. She has also specialised in music and movement for early years and trained in creative storytelling. Having had the awesome opportunity to work with babies for about 8 years, Vicky takes great pride in seeing their development growth. Vicky has also taught interactive play based phonics for children aged 3 to 6 for over a decade; and has also run reading programs to children with various abilities in a non-profit.
Vicky believes that every child is gifted and they unwrap their packages at different times. She enjoys seeing the growth of all her students as they hit each milestone and learn new skills. Vicky has always enjoyed storytelling with my little ones; and finds exploring imaginary worlds absolutely magical! She also loves helping children experience the magic of music, through percussion and singing.
Vicky joined Centre Stage in November 2017 to lead our nursery style programme – Out of the Box – as well as parent accompanied early years classes – Baby Stage & Play Stage. Over the years she’s taken on more and more Creative Drama classes – now teaching from Intro, all the way up to Stage 6!
Like all of team Centre Stage, Vicky strongly believes in providing a safe space for children to thrive through the creative arts!
