Every year we stage a large scale Dance Performance at an Outside Venue, in order to give students the opportunity to perfect their training and perform on the big stage, as well as create an entertaining and visually impressive production for our audience!

*If you are a parent of a performer, you will receive a special discount code via email as part of your show kit, this will automatically deduct the price of 2 adult tickets from your order, any questions about that, please feel free to give our office a call on 6732 7211.

FAQs for parents of performers:

Q: Is my child in both shows?
A: Yes, all performers will feature in all shows.

Q: Can I select my seat in advance?
A: No, there’s no need – there will be plenty of seats available in the stalls, so it’ll be free seating – you can pick where to sit when you arrive on the day

Q: I’m only using my 2 free tickets, do I need to actually go through the process of booking a ticket?
A:
Yes please, so that we can ensure everybody has redeemed there tickets, and we know who to expect on the day. It will also make everything a lot speedier letting everybody in to the theatre before the shows.

Q: Do I get 2 complimentary tickets to both shows as part of my show kit?
A:
No, it’s 2 tickets in total – so you can use 1 per show, or both for 1 show and then if you would any extras (we would of course actively encourage you to come to both shows if you can!) you can purchase them through the same link, use the discount we sent out to you via email to make sure the price of your comps is deducted.

Q: What precautions do you have in place at the theatre in light of the current COVID-19 outbreak?
A:
Both our team and the team at the Gateway Theatre have a number of protocols in place in light of current events, they are as follows:

  • Temperatures of all performers will be checked by our team
  • Temperatures of all audience members will be measured by the Theatre
  • If anyone turns up to the theatre exhibiting any symptoms of sickness, or has a temperature exceeding 37.5C, both teams Centre Stage and Gateway reserve the right to send you home
  • Hand sanitisers will be available on entry
  • All performers and audience members are required to fill in this travel declaration form
  • Students will be split in to small groups and kept to their dressing rooms when not on stage
  • All common areas will be thoroughly disinfected
  • Seats and handrails in the auditorium will be disinfected between shows
  • With a cast of 50 performers, we only anticipate audiences of around 100 for each show. The capacity of the stalls at the Gateway is over 500, so there will plenty of room to spread out and patrons will be actively encouraged to do so by the ushers

Parent Actions:

  • We are relying on parents to ensure your children and yourselves are healthy
  • Anyone who is unwell must let us know and stay home
  • Please take yours and your child’s temperature before dropping them off with us
  • Please take your own, and family members temperature before arriving to watch the show
  • Please pack hand sanitiser for your child performer and yourself if you have it
  • Feel free to bring your own mask if you wish to
